In 2014, I directed a teaser for Ian Keldoulis’ animated feature – “Toys On Demand”. The script came from the very first page of the screenplay which sets the edgy tone of the production right from the start.
Santa Claus’ North Pole headquarters are rapidly deteriorating due to global warming much to his wife’s constant anguish. She would rather be living her previous life again as a society lady in Manhattan. The melting ice violently kills her pride and joy – little Strudel and results in her complete meltdown (pun intended).
I designed, modeled, rigged and animated the two characters, prevised the sequence and the awesome team at Cirkus, New Zealand textured, lit and rendered to 1080p HD.
In addition they added some serious design edge to the environment and created the lovely fluid and fur animation. Cheers guys… you rock!
