Comfort Fabric Softener: Global TVC campaign - various character designs and concept art.
I designed the new Comfort family for global TVCs through Ogilvy, London in 2009. Consisting of a “cloth” Mum, Dad, daughter and twin sons, called the "Comfees", the new designs were adopted worldwide to become Unilever’s new global Comfort brand.
Teenage daughter - Lizzie.
Tweenage son later to become twins (Bobby and Billy) differentiated by cloth color.
Final 3D client character sign-off visual. The father and mother had many client directed alterations.
For one of the Asia / Pacific region TVCs involving the cloth rock star Andy I designed his guitar nemesis based on Slash from Guns and Roses. See them battle each other in a TVC called "Freshometer" uploaded to the Project Archive
Profile, 3/4, straight on concept art images of Slash for character modeler.
For one of the many Cloth World TVCs I directed I needed to concept a sweat monster. Amoeba-like but with stinky socks for flagella the character came to life in the first TVC created for India.
Unused campaign concept art. One of the campaign outlines researched was a Cloth World fashion circle. From l to r: Fashion journos based on Dawn French and Bubbles (from Absolutely Fabulous) and divas based on Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.

During the years I worked for Cirkus Productions in Auckland, New Zealand, I was the Animation director for the Comfort Fabric Softener “Cloth World” TVC campaign. I worked on Unilever's longest running campaign both physically in the Auckland office and then remotely when I moved to New York in 2008.
My tasks included direction, overall project and client management, environment design, character design and animation, motion boards and 3D previs.
